Talk about an epic wedding. Molly and Jayme’s British-American celebration at historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, Va. was exactly that. From the classically elegant venue and surrounding rolling green hills, to the fashion flair of an array of hats and fascinators that set the perfect tone of an English garden party, Molly and Jayme tied the knot in a wedding all their own. This lovely couple was married by Jonathan, chaplain of the London Metropolitan Police, as well as Molly’s family’s parish priest. A love of music was evident by the performances of Howard University’s DuPont Brass and the jazz choir Afro Blue, as well as by a number of guests throughout the day. Guests had the chance to experience a traditional English-style pub, complete with Pimm’s and Elderflower fizz, as well as the popping of British crackers filled with crowns and bubbles for everyone’s delight. Mostly though Molly and Jayme couldn’t keep those grins off their happy faces as they celebrated their love with their friends and families. When I first met Molly via a DC-London skype call, she told me about Jayme, his wonderful character traits and how unique he was. Finally though, she summed it all up by saying “and when he kissed me…I felt it in my toes.” This wedding was full of that passion that Molly and Jayme show for each other, for their loved ones and for life in general. And, it was a blast to document!
