Mica and Harrison tied the knot in a tiny ceremony in Libby Hill Park in Richmond’s own Church Hill neighborhood with the one and only John Mehfoud officiating and only their 3 sets of parents present for the event. In lieu of a reception, they spent six weeks road tripping across the country on a “Wedding Victory Tour” visiting everyone who would have come to their wedding. Amazing. Also pretty amazing is the fact that rain did not keep these two from saying their I do’s outside, and their aversion to cheesy wedding photography did not prevent them from jumping for joy on the steps of the Virginia State Capitol. This last photo was a special request since Mica and Harrison are collecting jump shots from every state’s State Capitol building. We took advantage of the sun peeking out later that afternoon to hit a few very Richmond locations for photos of the newlyweds. Fun, quirky and definitely memorable are all words that come to mind to describe this wedding and I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to document it before Mica and Harrison set off on their adventure.
